How Chicken Republic (CR) Uses “Up-selling” to Achieve Unusual Marketing & Sales Successes | FEAT: Kids Fun Videos @CR

Since it launched operations almost 2 decades ago, Chicken Republic (CR) – a wholly Nigerian owned brand has grown its marketing reach and impact in leaps and bounds.

What They Offer

1. An innovative menu that makes average Nigerians believe they can buy fast foods on a regular basis – daily even – due to their VERY pocket friendly pricing – starting as low as N1,000.

2. Most popular was their what they initially called a “Combo meal” but which was later renamed as the “Refuel” meal – and comes in different forms.

3. Over the years, they’ve successfully added other attractively priced options such as the Citizen’s Meal, Express Meal With Chips, Hamburgers, Bucket Chicken, Pot Lovers Meal, Spicy Yam MAX Meal etc.

Little wonder the traffic of Nigerians across economic classes who frequent their outlets has been sustained!

Let Kids Be Kids: Don’t Make Them Take Sides – Sights/Sounds of My Kids Goofing Around While With Me

This video I’ve added my podcast to, was recorded using my phone, on Sunday 30th May 2021 (from 5.16p.m) by my children – mainly the 12 year old girl, along with her 8 year old brother.

They were spending the day with me, at the family house, so I could help their 15 year old sister with a Wooden Kite building Maths project she had to do for school.

In my commentary, I note that this is how they are (i.e. free/uninhibited) when they’re ALONE with me, and how they act VERY different with me, once their mother (now my ex-partner) is around.

Towards the end, I explain – using several true stories to illustrate – why making kids take sides with either parent, when there is conflict between parents CAN BE VERY HARMFUL to their normal development, and should therefore be avoided.
