True Story: Conversations With REAL Black Soldier Fly Farmers in Nigeria [Case No. 1: Ilorin – Kwara State] – Download PDF Audio to Text Transcript

I have been searching online for, and conducting phone interviews with BSF breeders based in Nigeria for 3 months.

So far, I’ve spoken with about 15 persons I identified from various platforms offering BSF larvae supply and/or training.

From that number, I’ve now narrowed down – as at today, Tuesday 6th October 2020 – to ONLY two as being reliable.

This PDF is a Text Transcript version of the audio recording I made, of my first phone conversation with one of the 2 shortlisted breeders.

What makes this gentleman’s offer more believable than all the others is that he actually has (and continues to post) demonstration videos of himself handling the eggs, and larvae on his farm.

In addition, during my follow up phone conversation with him, he told me he was at a client’s farm setting up a new BSF colony.

In other words, apart from offering sales, and training, he also is available to visit people’s farms and help to startup BSF colonies for breeding purposes.

This makes him uniquely positioned as a problem-solver to support Farm CEOs – especially because he is one himself. And that’s why I’m featuring him here.

NB: Following a second phone chat, I will be visiting him in Ilorin, to do a face to face video interview session with him, on his farm, when he returns from Agbara, and we agree a convenient date/time for both parties.
